Job summary

First Response Group Ltd is seeking a reliable Gateman to join our security team. You will control access to the premises, monitor vehicle and pedestrian movements, and ensure only authorised personnel, visitors and contractors enter the site with a professional presence.

You will conduct routine checks, maintain site records, respond to incidents, and uphold safety and security procedures while delivering excellent customer service and a welcoming first impression.

Qualifications

• Desirable background in security-related roles.
• National Grid qualifications are advantageous.
• Strong communication and observational skills.

Responsibilities

• Gatehouse access control and monitoring.
• Accurate record keeping of movements, visitors, deliveries.
• Verify visitor IDs and delivery documentation.
• Monitor site for security concerns and escalate as needed.
