Job summary

ALO Jobs Limited seeks an experienced Gas Safe Registered Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer to join a social housing maintenance team covering Birmingham, Oldbury and surrounding areas. The role involves gas servicing, repairs and emergency call-outs in occupied properties.

Typical hours are 08:00–17:00 with a Monday–Friday pattern, plus paid call-outs and a company van with fuel card. Permanent, full-time role with ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current Gas Safe Registration.
• ACS qualifications including CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1 and HTR1.
• Previous experience in gas servicing and breakdowns.
• Experience in social housing or domestic maintenance preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Professional and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out landlord gas safety inspections (CP12s).
• Servicing domestic gas boilers and heating systems.
• Diagnosing and repairing boiler and heating breakdowns.
• Fault finding and resolving gas-related issues.
• Completing repairs safely and efficiently to a high standard.
• Providing excellent customer service in tenants' homes.
• Ensuring all work complies with Gas Safe and health and safety regulations.

Working on behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and qualified Gas Safe Registered Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer to join a well-established social housing maintenance team covering Birmingham, Oldbury, and surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer looking for a stable, permanent position within the social housing sector, carrying out gas servicing, repairs, and breakdown maintenance in occupied residential properties.
