Job summary

Example Recruitment Group is seeking experienced self-employed Gas Service & Repair Engineers to service contracts in the Reigate area. This long-term role offers a consistent workload, weekly payments, and the flexibility to choose your working pattern with 3–5 days available per week.

Tasks include annual gas safety checks, LGSRs and central heating repairs with 6–8 pre-booked appointments daily. Full ACS and Gas Safe registration required, van and insurance provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience as a domestic heating engineer
• Current ACS CKR1 and HTR1 qualifications
• Current Gas Safe Registration
• A calibrated flue gas analyser
• A suitable panel van (plain or sign-written)
• £2 million Public Liability Insurance
• No unspent criminal convictions

Job description

Example Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established national heating contractor operating within the private sector.

We are looking for experienced self-employed Gas Service & Repair Engineers to join an established contract covering the Reigate area. This is a long-term opportunity offering a consistent workload, weekly payments and the flexibility to choose your working pattern.

The Contract

• Locations: Reigate
• Work: Annual Gas Safety Checks, Landlord Gas Safety Records (LGSRs) and central heating repairs
• Workload: 6-8 pre-booked appointments per day
• Availability: Minimum commitment of 3 days per week, with up to 5 days available
• Additional earning opportunities: Optional evening call-outs and weekend work at enhanced rates
• Contract length: Ongoing with no fixed end date
• Payment: Weekly, one week in arrears

Rates

• Annual Gas Safety Check: £30.75 per appliance
• Completed Repair: £61.50 per property (all parts and van stock supplied)
• Repair completed during Annual Service: £46.13 plus the Annual Service Visit rate

Requirements
