Job summary

Example Recruitment is seeking a qualified heating engineer to carry out annual gas safety checks and landlord records, with responsibility for central heating repairs. You will manage a workload of 6–8 pre-booked appointments per day, with options for weekends and evenings at enhanced rates.

A tablet device and Exsol diagnosis system will be provided. This long-term, on-site contract offers flexible scheduling (minimum 3 days per week) and regular weekly payments, with van, PPE, and ID kit

Qualifications

• 2 years of qualified experience as a heating engineer.
• ACS Qualifications CKR1 (Gas Cookers) & HTR1 (Gas Fires).
• Gas Safe Registration.
• Calibrated Flue Gas Analyser.
• £2m Public Liability Insurance.
• No unspent criminal convictions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct annual gas safety checks and landlord gas safety records.
• Perform central heating repairs as required.
• Attend 6–8 pre-booked appointments per day.
• Work 3–5 days per week with optional weekends/evenings at enhanced rates.
• Appointments pre-booked via tablet device; Exsol system used for diagnostics.

Contract Details

Location: Humberside

Work Type: Annual Service Visits (Annual Gas Safety Check), Landlord Gas Safety Records, and central heating repairs.

Work Load: 6-8 pre‑booked appointments per day

Commitment: Minimum of set 3 days per week. Up to 5 days available plus optional weekends and evening call out available at enhanced rates.

Contract Length: Ongoing (no end date)

Payment terms: Weekly one week in arrears.

Rates

• Annual Service Visit (Annual Gas Safety check): £23.06 per appliance
• Repairs: £41.00 per completed property (full van stock and parts supplied)
• Linked Repair: £30.75 plus Annual Service Visit Rate (if repair required at Annual Gas Safety Check)

Optional out‑of‑hours and weekend work is available at enhanced rates.
