Job summary

Example Recruitment is recruiting an experienced heating engineer for a 6+ month contract with Cheltenham Borough Council. The role covers landlord gas safety checks and central heating repairs, with a 5-day week and a small geographic radius for bookings.

Required: at least 2 years' qualified heating engineer experience, Gas Safe registration, CKR1 & HTR1, a panel van, and a Calibrated Flue Gas Analyser. DBS clean and driving licence with ≤6 points are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of qualified experience as a heating engineer.
• ACS Qualifications including CKR1 (Gas Cookers) & HTR1 (Gas Fires).
• Gas Safe Registration.
• Panel Van (plain or sign written).
• Calibrated Flue Gas Analyser.
• Public Liability Insurance £2m.

Responsibilities

• Perform landlord gas safety checks for Cheltenham properties.
• Carry out central heating repairs as required.
• Maintain high safety standards and ensure compliance with Gas Safe regulations.

Contract Details

Location: GL50 to GL55
Contract: Cheltenham Borough Council
Work Type: Landlord Gas Safety Checks and Central Heating Repairs
Commitment: 5 days per week
Contract Length: 6 months+
Payment terms: Weekly one week in arrears

Rates

• £300.00 per day (all parts supplied)
• £30.00 - Out of Hours Standby
• £30.00 - Out of Hours Call Out
