Job summary

Example Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a national heating contractor for social housing projects across Wiltshire (SP5, SP2, SP3 and BA12). You will perform landlord gas safety checks and central heating repairs on a self-employed basis under a long‑term, ongoing contract.

The role requires ACS CKR1 and HTR1, Gas Safe registration, a clean DBS, a driving license with up-to-date points, and a capable van. Weekly pay is provided with full PPE and kit supplied.

Qualifications

• 2 years of qualified experience as a heating engineer.
• ACS CKR1 (Gas Cookers) & HTR1 (Gas Fires) qualifications.
• Gas Safe Registration.
• Clean DBS Check.
• No more than 6 points on Driving Licence.
• Calibrated Flue Gas Analyser.
• £2m Public Liability Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out landlord gas safety checks and central heating repairs.
• Work within a defined local radius for social housing contracts.
• Appointments managed via client PDA system.

Job description

Example Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a national heating contractor operating within the local authority sector. They require self‑employed heating engineers for a long‑term social housing contract.

Contract Details

• Location: Wiltshire - SP5, SP2, SP3 and BA12
• Contract: Social Housing
• Work Type: Landlord Gas Safety Checks and Central Heating Repairs
• Commitment: Minimum of 3 set days per week
• Contract Length: Long term ongoing
• Payment terms: Weekly, one week in arrears

Rates

• £300 a day pay rate
• OOH (Over‑Hour) Standby (Weekdays): £50 pay rate
• Standby (Weekends): £75 pay rate
• Completed Job: £35 pay rate
• Incomplete Job: £25 pay rate

Travel Incentive

£50 a day – Only applies to engineers who have to travel into patch (60min+)

• £2m Public Liability Insurance
• No unspent criminal convictions
