Job summary

Citi FX Technology is seeking a senior engineer/leader to manage and inspire a high-performing team. You will work with FX Tech to define and implement low-latency solutions that benefit multiple asset classes, while contributing hands-on coding and architectural leadership.

You will collaborate with trading and quant teams, drive best practices, and ensure strong cross-functional alignment across the enterprise in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• Proven understanding of ultra low-latency development practices.
• Proven understanding of FX highly preferred.
• Ability to develop a team that is seen as the engineering role model for the organization.
• Ability to work directly with trading and quant teams.
• Proven track record of building new systems, replacing legacy systems and renovating existing systems.
• Strong systems knowledge (software, hardware, networks) to define solutions and troubleshoot issues.
• Exceptional communicator across all levels from team to enterprise.
• Hands-on engineer capable of deep-diving into product and codebase.
• Awareness of industry trends and leveraging new technologies.
• Experience in collaborating and influencing cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and inspire a high-quality team of engineers.
• Collaborate with FX Technology teams to define and implement solutions benefiting the business.
• Hands-on technical implementation and thought leadership.
• Leadership without budget responsibility, ensuring best practices.
• Define solutions benefiting multiple asset classes with FX Technology teams.
• Develop and manage teams, performance reviews, hiring and disciplinary actions.
• Drive system architecture design and documentation for filings and processes.
• Lead staff forums and communicate global regional updates to the team.
• Contribute to best practices and process standardization across teams.
