Job summary

Citi is seeking a high-impact Software Engineer to help engineer the future of global finance. Our Tech team supports trillions in daily flows and operates across 180+ countries, delivering low-latency systems that matter.

You will collaborate with traders and quants to translate real-world needs into robust features, contribute to automated testing and CI/CD, leverage AI-powered development tools, and help scale platforms in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment with potential hybrid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of low-latency Java and Rust for trading platforms.
• Experience in developing electronic trading platforms in large institutions.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance, low-latency electronic execution systems.
• Collaborate with traders, quants and clients to translate needs into features and enhancements.
• Improve testing frameworks, tools and environments for reliability and scale.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools across the SDLC to boost productivity and quality.
• Promote Agile practices and CI/CD with focus on rapid, safe releases.
• Build and maintain monitoring, reconciliation and recovery capabilities for trading platforms.
