Job summary

Citi FX Technology is seeking a senior engineering leader in London to manage and inspire a high-caliber team of engineers. You will define and implement solutions across FX Technology, partnering with trading and quant teams to deliver high-performance systems.

The role combines hands-on development with strategic thought leadership, focusing on architecture, best practices, and cross-functional collaboration within Citi’s global FX operations.

Qualifications

Proven understanding of ultra low-latency development practices.
Proven understanding of FX, highly preferred.
Ability to develop a team seen as engineering role model.
Ability to work with trading and quant teams.
Track record of building new systems and renovating legacy ones.
Strong systems knowledge (software, hardware, networks).
Excellent communication across all levels of the enterprise.

Responsibilities

Manage and inspire a high-quality team of engineers.
Define and implement solutions with FX Technology to benefit the business.
Hands-on role with technical implementation and thought leadership.
Lead staff development and ensure adherence to best practices.
Contribute to architecture design and system-wide improvements.
Deliver updates to global, regional, and location teams.
