Job summary

Life Services Group is seeking a Funeral Service Specialist for Thomas Fowle & Sons in Gillingham. You will lead day-to-day branch operations, support grieving families, and guide them through funeral plans with care and professionalism.

The role offers training in Funeral Conducting, with duties including ceremony support, supplier liaison and local community engagement. Flexible weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or admin is beneficial.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support families with empathy, professionalism and attention to detail.
• Arrange funerals that meet family wishes and legal requirements.
• Oversee day-to-day branch operations and administration.
• Build relationships with suppliers, care homes and local groups.
• Lead chapel visits and assist with ceremonial duties when needed.
• Promote funeral plans and contribute to branch sales.
• Train in Funeral Conducting to support peak times.
