Job summary

OurCoop is seeking a Funeral Services Co-ordinator to oversee diary management and daily operations across allocated care centres. You will play a key role in ensuring dignified care for the deceased and smooth funeral service delivery.

The role requires strong communication, organisational abilities, and IT proficiency, with a focus on safety, paperwork accuracy, and collaborative teamwork within a values-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the diary and day-to-day operations of allocated care centre(s).
• Ensure high levels of care for those who have died and for the funeral service.
• Maintain fleet cleanliness and ensure equipment is maintained; train colleagues on usage.
• Prioritise safety and security; implement procedures and conduct daily safe and legal checks.
• Ensure accurate paperwork for care of the deceased (mortuary register, ashes register, identification).
• Manage stock holding and order of coffins.
• Support skills development and training with Funeral Operations Lead.
• Monitor budget and scorecard performance to meet targets.
• Audit work schedules to ensure full coverage and accurate pay.
