Job summary

East of England Co-operative Society Limited Funeral Services is seeking a Funeral Co-ordinator to be the heartbeat of our client service, coordinating funerals, advising on pre-payment plans, and engaging with local communities. You will liaise with Funeral Directors, crematoriums, and ministers to honour clients' wishes.

Qualifications

• Empathy and people skills suitable for funeral environments.
• Professional, empathetic and client-focused approach required.
• Strong administration and IT literacy for codes, records and bookings.
• Ability to liaise with funeral directors, venues and ministers.
• Willingness to travel between branches as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional service to clients, advising on funeral services, pre-payment plans, masonry and ancillary services
• When co-ordinating a funeral service, liaise with the Funeral Director and third parties to ensure client wishes are followed
• Efficiently complete all required administration tasks including financial and statutory procedures
• Provide information about after-care services and bereavement support groups
• Be responsible for overall standard, service and compliance of the branch
• Coordinate chapel visits and engage with local communities
