Southern Co-Op is looking for a Funeral Service Operative in Poole to support the delivery of funeral services. You will assist with collection, transport, preparation of the deceased, drive vehicles, and act as conductor or bearer.

The role is physically and emotionally demanding and involves on-call shifts. You will need a full UK driving licence (manual and automatic) and be over 25 for insurance purposes.

• Collecting the deceased and bringing them into our care.
• Dressing and preparing the deceased for viewing.
• Driving our vehicles and ensuring they are clean and ready for each funeral.
• Acting as a bearer.
• Supporting local communities and representing our funeral care services.
• This role involves manual handling.
