Co-op Funeralcare in Canterbury is seeking an empathetic Funeral Director to join our caring team. The role balances managerial tasks with client-facing duties, supporting on-call rota with evenings and weekends.

No prior funeral industry experience is required, but you should have strong people skills and a commercial mindset. You’ll oversee client needs, coordinate services, and work closely with our team to deliver dignified services while maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Mansioni

• Ensure client needs, service levels and KPIs are met.
• Be clients’ main contact; support and guide with the wider team.
• Support funerals – conduct ceremonies, lead the team and carry the deceased when necessary.
• Ensure regulated work, including funeral planning, is referred to a certified colleague.
• Build and maintain relationships with the team, clients and community.
