Co-op Funeralcare is hiring a Funeral Director in Lancaster/Morecambe area. The role combines managerial and business tasks with compassionate client service, including on-call duties and coordination of funerals.

No prior experience is required; strong people skills and a commercial focus are valued. You’ll balance client care with operational duties to serve families with professionalism and respect.

Qualifications

• No formal experience required.
• Empathetic, commercially minded and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Make sure client needs, service levels and KPIs are met.
• Be clients’ main point of contact; support with wider team.
• Support funerals – conduct ceremonies, lead team and move the deceased when necessary.
• Ensure all regulated work, including funeral planning, is referred to a certified colleague.
• Build and maintain relationships with team, clients and the community.
