Job summary

Co-op Group is seeking a Care Logistics Lead on a 12-month secondment to oversee a team of ceremonial crew delivering funeral services with dignity and professionalism.

You will manage rosters, plan transport and handle sensitive situations with empathy, while collaborating with local stakeholders to improve the guest experience. The role requires discretion and a full UK driving licence, plus the ability to lift heavy loads.

Qualifications

• Experience leading ceremonial crews or similar teams.
• Full UK manual driving licence must be held.
• Ability to lift and move heavy loads safely.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and supervise ceremonial crew for funerals.
• Deputise for the care logistics manager.
• Plan clothing collection and movement of personal belongings.
• Coordinate transportation of the deceased for viewings as required.
• Analyse insights to drive continuous improvements in funeral delivery and team performance.
