Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Functional Skills Tutor to deliver Maths and/or English up to Level 2 in a centre-based environment. You will embed Literacy, Numeracy, Digital Skills and Employability into engaging lessons.

The role is full-time and permanent, offering a salary up to £40,000 depending on skills and experience. A Level 3 in English/Maths and a Level 5 teaching qualification are essential, with a focus on motivating learners and promoting inclusive practices.

Qualifications

• Must have experience delivering Functional Skills training to small groups of learners.
• Must hold a Level 3 in English / Maths or equivalent
• Must hold a Level 5 Teaching qualification.
• Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate and train clients.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Skills Maths and/or English within a classroom environment (up to Level 2).
• Embed Literacy, Numeracy, Digital Skills and Employability into lessons.
• Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
• Be flexible with delivery methods, providing differentiation and adapt to learners' needs.
• Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
• Engage learners with energy and passion to help them realise their potential.
• Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.

Essential Criteria:
