Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Functional Skills Tutor to deliver Maths and/or English up to Level 2 in a centre-based setting in Leicestershire. Salary is up to £35,000, depending on skills and experience.

You will use existing delivery resources and prepare your own where required, delivering engaging training sessions and providing ongoing guidance to learners to help them progress towards their career goals.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Functional Skills Maths or English up to Level 2.
• Must hold Level 3 qualification in Maths and/or English.
• Experience delivering training to small groups of learners.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrate energy, confidence and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Skills Maths and/or English up to Level 2 in a classroom setting.

Job Title: Functional Skills Tutor

Location: Leicestershire - Centre based

Salary: up to £35,000 (Depending on skills and experience)

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Duties:

• Deliver Functional Skills Maths and/or English within a classroom environment (up to Level 2).
• Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
• The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
• Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
• The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train clients in order to help learners realise their potential.
• Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.

Essential Criteria:

• Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate and train clients.
• Experience of delivering Functional Skills Maths OR English up to Level 2.
• Must hold own Level 3 qualification in Maths and/or English.
• Must have experience of delivering training to small groups of learners
• Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
