Job summary

Red 5 People is seeking an enthusiastic trainer to deliver Functional Skills English and Maths to 1618-year-olds. You will support learners, including those with EHCPs, managing about 60 students with a view to 80, using Pearson schemes of work and preparing them for weekly exams. One admin/planning day from home is included.

The role emphasizes a supportive, family-like team culture with no evenings or weekend work, encouraging practical, learner-centered teaching.

Qualifications

• Experienced delivering Functional Skills (reformed curriculum preferred).
• Confident teaching the 1618 age group.
• SEN or employability experience a bonus.
• Teaching qualification is essential (AET 3 / PTLLS min).

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Functional Skills English and Maths lessons (Entry 3 to Level 2).
• Teach mainly 1618-year-olds, many with EHCPs or additional needs.
• Manage a rolling cohort of around 60 learners (growing towards 80).
• Use Pearson schemes of work and prep learners for weekly exams.
• Have one day a week for admin and planning from home.
