Job summary

Red 5 People is recruiting a Functional Skills Tutor for a Wakefield-based programme with travel across Yorkshire. You will support 16–24 learners with SEND to develop Maths, English and employability skills in real-world settings.

The role blends Functional Skills delivery with job coaching, and involves working with learners in classroom and workplace environments to build confidence and independence.

Qualifications

• Deliver Functional Skills Maths and English up to Level 2 with practical delivery.
• Support learners with SEND through tailored teaching and coaching.
• Deliver group and 1:1 sessions using blended learning methods.
• Support learners in developing workplace skills, confidence and independence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Skills Maths and English up to Level 2.
• Support learners with SEND through tailored teaching and coaching.
• Deliver group and 1:1 sessions using blended learning methods.
• Support learners in workplace settings, developing employability skills and confidence.
• Carry out initial assessments, create action plans and track learner progress.
• Manage a caseload of learners and maintain accurate records.
• Contribute to quality assurance processes and meet KPIs.
• Adapt learning to meet learner and employer needs.
