Job summary

NHBC is looking for a committed Functional Skills Tutor to deliver engaging English and maths learning to apprentices across our programmes. The role blends face-to-face and virtual sessions to support progression and unlock learners’ potential, with travel across Central England required.

You’ll monitor progress, update materials and work with Trainers to embed Functional Skills throughout apprenticeships.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Functional Skills teaching and lesson planning.
• Confident delivering engaging learning both in person and online.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade 5/B or above.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Functional Skills teaching in English and maths across programmes.
• Monitor learner progress, conduct reviews and maintain records.
• Develop and update learning materials to keep content engaging.
• Embed Functional Skills across apprenticeship programmes with Trainers.
• Support reporting and learner feedback to meet business objectives.
