Job summary

Red 5 People is seeking an educator to deliver Functional Skills English and Maths to 16-18-year-olds, including learners with EHCPs or additional needs. The role uses Pearson schemes of work and supports a rolling cohort of around 60 learners, with growth toward 80, plus one admin/planning day from home.

You will join a small, close-knit team of 20, with no red tape, flexible and supportive management, and a work-life balance that avoids evenings and weekend work.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Functional Skills (reformed curriculum preferred).
• Confident teaching the 16-18 age group.
• SEN or employability experience bonus.
• Teaching qualification (AET 3 / PTLLS) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Functional Skills English and Maths lessons to 16-18 learners.
• Teach mainly 16-18-year-olds, including those with EHCPs or additional needs.
• Manage a rolling cohort of around 60 learners (growing toward 80).
• Use existing Pearson schemes of work and prep learners for weekly exams.
• Have one admin/planning day per week from home.
