Job summary

KM Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Functional Skills Tutor to deliver Maths and English at a centre-based location in Devon and Torbay. The role focuses on Functional Skills up to Level 2, with salary to £40,000 and permanent, full-time terms.

You will use existing resources and create materials as needed, while guiding learners with IAG and ensuring safeguarding and health and safety standards are upheld. A Level 5 teaching qualification is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 5 Teaching qualification.
• Experience delivering Functional Skills Maths or English up to Level 2.
• Must hold own Level 3 qualification in Maths and/or English.
• Must have experience of delivering training to small groups of learners.
• Strong admin skills including ILPs, progress tracking and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Skills Maths and/or English sessions in a classroom environment (up to Level 2).
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
• Be flexible with delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners' needs.
• Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
• Engaging and energetic to motivate/train clients and help learners realise their potential.
• Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.
