Job summary

KM Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Functional Skills / Employability Tutor to join a centre based team. You will deliver Functional Skills English and Maths, Personal Development and Employability to learners in a classroom, using existing resources and creating your own where needed.

You will be expected to bring energy, engage learners and motivate them to progress. A Level 3 Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards it is essential, along with strong presentation and

Qualifications

• Must have experience of delivering Functional Skills training to small groups of learners.
• Hold - or be willing to work towards - a Level 3 Teaching qualification.
• Hold a Level 3 qualification in English.
• Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate and train clients.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Skills English and Maths to learners within a classroom environment.
• Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
• Be flexible with delivery methods and adapt to learners' needs.
• Assist learners in identifying skills to progress toward their career aspirations.
• Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.

Job Title: Functional Skills / Employability Tutor

Location: Centre based

Salary: up to 35,000 (Depending on skills and experience)

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Duties

The successful candidate must be versatile and have the ability to adapt delivery methods and vocations, dependent upon the cover required at the time.

• Deliver Functional Skills English and Maths, Personal Development and Employability to learners within a classroom environment.
• Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
• The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
• Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
• The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train clients in order to help learners realise their potential.
• Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.

Essential Criteria
