Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Functional Skills / Employability Tutor to deliver Functional Skills English and Maths, Personal Development and Employability to learners in a centre-based setting. The role focuses on engaging learners in a classroom environment and using a range of delivery resources.

The ideal candidate will hold or be working towards a Level 3 Teaching qualification, have experience delivering Functional Skills up to Level 2, and be able to differentiate and motivate small groups

Qualifications

• Hold - or be willing to work towards - a Level 3 Teaching qualification.
• Experience of delivering Functional Skills Maths and English up to Level 2.
• Must hold own Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English (GCSE / A LEVEL / Functional Skills).
• Must have experience of delivering training to small groups of learners.
• Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Skills English and Maths, Personal Development and Employability to learners within a classroom environment.
• Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
• The successful candidate must be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
• Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
• The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate/train clients in order to help learners realise their potential.
• Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.
