Job summary

KM Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Functional Skills English Tutor to join a centre-based team. The role is full-time and permanent with a salary up to £35,000, depending on skills and experience.

You will deliver English up to Level 2 in a classroom setting, using existing resources and creating your own materials when needed, while engaging learners and providing guidance.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 5 Teaching qualification, or above (e.g. CertEd/DTLLS/PGCE).
• Experience of delivering Functional Skills English.
• Must hold own Level 2 qualification in English.
• Must have experience of delivering training to small groups of learners.
• Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate and train clients.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.

Duties

• Deliver Functional Skills English, within a classroom environment (up to Level 2).
• Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
• The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
• Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
• The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train clients in order to help learners realise their potential.
• Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.

Essential Criteria

• Hold a Level 5 Teaching qualification, or above (e.g. CertEd/DTLLS/PGCE)
