Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Functional Skills / Employability Tutor to deliver English and Maths, Personal Development and Employability in a centre-based learning environment. The role emphasizes adaptable delivery methods to meet learner needs and provide engaging instruction.

The successful candidate will have experience delivering Functional Skills to small groups and hold a Level 3 Teaching qualification (or be working toward it) plus a Level 3 English qualification, with energy and passion

• Experience delivering Functional Skills training to small groups.
• Holds, or is willing to work towards, a Level 3 Teaching qualification.
• Holds a Level 3 qualification in English.
• Energy, passion to motivate and train clients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Skills English and Maths, Personal Development and Employability to learners in a classroom.
• Utilise existing resources and prepare new materials when required.
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide IAG to learners.
• Be flexible with delivery methods and adapt to learners' needs.
• Help learners identify skills to progress toward career goals.

Job Title: Functional Skills / Employability Tutor

Location: Centre based

Salary: up to £35,000 (Depending on skills and experience)

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Duties:

• The successful candidate must be versatile and have the ability to adapt delivery methods and vocations, dependent upon the cover required at the time.
• Deliver Functional Skills English and Maths, Personal Development and Employability to learners within a classroom environment.
• Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
• Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
• The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
• Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
• The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train clients in order to help learners realise their potential.
• Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.

Essential Criteria:

• Must have experience of delivering Functional Skills training to small groups of learners.
• Hold - or be willing to work towards - a Level 3 Teaching qualification.
• Hold a Level 3 qualification in English.
• Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate and train clients.
• Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
