Job summary

Maven is recruiting a WCA Functional Assessor in Stirling. You will perform up to five client assessments daily via telephone, video or face-to-face, gathering information to produce factual reports used by the DWP in decision-making.

You must be an NMC registered nurse or HCPC-registered professional with at least one year post-registration experience, plus excellent communication and IT skills. Hybrid/home working is available; on-site in Stirling.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse or HCPC qualified professional with 1+ year post-registration experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Competent IT and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out up to 5 client assessments per day for WCA.
• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments.
• Produce a factual report to support DWP eligibility decisions.

What does the WCA Functional Assessor role involve?

The Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 5 client assessments per day who are claiming for WCA (Work Capability Assessment). A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their ability to perform work-related activity. Youll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.

What we look for;

• An NMC registered nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) or HCPC qualified Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist with 1 years or more broad post-registration experience
• Someone whos proactive and keen to learn
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Competent IT and computer skills
• Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health
