Job summary

Maven Group Ltd is seeking a WCA Functional Assessor to perform five client assessments daily, via telephone, video or face-to-face, to evaluate how health conditions affect daily life. You will gather information and produce factual reports to support DWP eligibility decisions, while receiving excellent training and working in a hybrid role.

This exceptional opportunity offers a starting salary of £39,500pa, Monday–Friday hours, 25 days’ leave plus holidays, a pension, and paid training fees.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) or HCPC registered professional with 1+ year post-registration experience.
• Proactive and keen to learn.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Competent IT and computer skills.
• Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 5 client assessments per day by telephone, video or face-to-face.
• Gather information and produce a factual report to support DWP eligibility decisions.
• Contribute to training and operate within a hybrid/home working setup.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory requirements.

Job description

The Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 5 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.

No experience as a WCA Functional Assessor is needed as full training will be provided which you will be paid your full-time salary for. All we expect is that you will have 1 years post graduate experience as an RGN, RMN, RLND, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic or Pharmacist and hold an NMC or HCPC registration.
