Job summary

Maven Consulting Group Ltd is seeking a Disability Assessor to join our healthcare assessment team in the UK. The role involves conducting 5 Work Capability Assessments per day via telephone, video, or face-to-face, collecting information and producing reports to support DWP decisions.

On offer is a starting salary of £39,500 per annum with hybrid or on-site options in Stirling and full or part-time hours. Applicants must be NMC registered or HCPC qualified with at least 1 year post‑registration

Responsibilities

What does the WCA Functional Assessor role involve?

The Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 5 client assessments per day who are claiming for WCA (Work Capability Assessment). A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their ability to perform work-related activity. Youll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.

What we look for;

• An NMC registered nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) or HCPC qualified Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist with 1 years or more broad post-registration experience
• Someone whos proactive and keen to learn

• Competent IT and computer skills
• Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health
