Job summary

Randstad Education in Crawley is seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to support primary and secondary schools across the area on a full-time basis. You will assist with daily lessons, setup, and targeted support in reading, writing, and maths while maintaining a positive learning environment.

The role offers consistent Monday to Friday hours, with long-term supply or placement opportunities and access to free CPD training, including Safeguarding, Autism Awareness, and Behaviour Management.

Qualifications

• Full-time availability during standard school hours (Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM).
• Prior experience working with children or young people (e.g., schools, nurseries, sports coaching, care, or youth work).
• Reliable, proactive work ethic and the ability to adapt to new environments.
• Strong proficiency in core English and Maths.
• An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
• Proof of right to work in the UK and reliable transport to locations in Crawley.

Responsibilities

• Assist class teachers with daily lesson delivery, classroom setup, and resource management.
• Provide targeted 1:1 or small-group support to help students improve in reading, writing, and maths.
• Support pupils with additional needs (SEN), including those with ASD, ADHD, or those requiring behavioural support.
• Maintain a structured, safe, and positive learning environment.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and classroom dynamics.
