Job summary

Randstad Education is looking for a Primary Classroom & Learning Support Assistant to support staff and inspire pupils across Crawly and surrounding areas. The role offers full-time, part-time or daily cover options with immediate start and term-time opportunities.

You will work with EYFS through KS2, delivering reading, phonics and numeracy support while assisting with lesson prep and classroom displays. DBS in Update Service preferred.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience supporting children or young people (in schools, nurseries, youth clubs, coaching, or care).
• A positive, adaptable mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
• Good proficiency in core Primary English and Maths.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or readiness to complete one).
• Right to work in the UK and reliable access to schools throughout Crawly.

Responsibilities

• Partner with primary class teachers to deliver engaging learning activities and keep pupils on task.
• Run targeted reading, phonics, and numeracy booster sessions with individuals or small groups.
• Deliver dedicated 1:1 assistance to children with SEN (including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs).
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels supported.
• Assist with lesson prep, creative displays, and break-time monitoring.
