Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support primary and secondary schools across Crawley with full-time hours from 8:30 to 15:30, Monday to Friday. This role offers long-term agency placements or supply work with high demand, ensuring consistency throughout the academic term.

Role includes 1:1 or small-group reading, writing and maths support, DBS checks, and reliable transport to Crawley.

Qualifications

Full-time availability during standard school hours (Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM).
Prior experience working with children or young people (e.g., schools, nurseries, sports coaching, care, or youth work).
Reliable, proactive work ethic and ability to adapt to new environments.
Strong proficiency in core English and Maths.
An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
Proof of right to work in the UK and reliable transport to Crawley locations.

Responsibilities

Assist class teachers with daily lesson delivery, classroom setup, and resource management.
Provide targeted 1:1 or small-group support to help students improve in reading, writing, and maths.
Support pupils with additional needs (SEN), including those with ASD, ADHD, or those requiring behavioural support.
Maintain a structured, safe, and positive learning environment.
Adapt quickly to different school settings and classroom dynamics.
