Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking dedicated Full-Time Teaching Assistants to support primary and secondary schools across Crawley. You will assist teachers, deliver small-group and 1:1 support, and help raise reading, writing and maths outcomes during standard school hours.

This role offers reliable Monday to Friday work, with ongoing supply and long-term placements, and access to professional development and DBS support through Randstad Education.

Qualifications

• Full-time availability during standard school hours (Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM–3:30 PM).
• Experience working with children or young people (schools, nurseries, sports coaching, care, or youth work).
• Reliable, proactive work ethic and ability to adapt to new environments.
• Strong proficiency in core English and Maths.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Proof of right to work in the UK and reliable transport to locations in Crawley.

Responsibilities

• Assist class teachers with daily lesson delivery, classroom setup, and resource management.
• Provide targeted 1:1 or small-group support to help students improve in reading, writing, and maths.
• Support pupils with additional needs (SEN), including those with ASD, ADHD, or those requiring behavioural support.
• Maintain a structured, safe, and positive learning environment.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and classroom dynamics.
