Job summary

Staffline, on behalf of G4S, is recruiting a Security Officer for a high-security site in Berkeley. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, from 07:00 to 17:00, with a pay rate of £14.88 per hour. Applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence with their own transport and an SIA licence.

Training and development are provided. The ideal candidate has strong English communication, attention to detail, and adaptability to a fast-paced security environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid SIA licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding).
• 5-year checkable work history and character references required.
• Pass rigorous National Security Vetting (BPSS/SC).
• Must have own transport and a valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Communicate confidently at all levels in English, both written and spoken.
• Follow specific procedures and instructions accurately.
• Experience in utilising IT and computer systems efficiently.
• Undertake shift work flexibly as required.
• Conduct high-vigilance internal and external site patrols.
• Manage complex access control for staff, contractors and visitors per regulatory standards.
• Respond to incidents with precision and teamwork according to elite standards.
• Represent G4S and our client as a professional ambassador.
• Handle medical emergencies or contingency exercises as required.
• Stay focused on delivering excellent customer service, remaining efficient, flexible and security-conscious.
