Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with G4S, is recruiting a Security Officer for a busy Sutton Coldfield site. You will handle gatehouse duties, weighbridges and IT systems, and work 12-hour shifts on a days and nights pattern.

Applicants must hold a valid SIA licence and demonstrate excellent communication and customer service. You will monitor CCTV, prevent unauthorised access, and contribute to a professional, safety‑minded team.

Job description

Join us as a Security Officer at a busy site in Sutton Coldfield, where you will be required to carry out duties in a busy environment where no two days will be the same and you will have the opportunity to carve out a career with the biggest name in security.

Position: Security Officer

Location: Sutton Coldfield

Pay Rate: £13.76 per hour

Hours: 12 hour shifts

Shifts: Days and Nights

Applicants must hold a vaild SIA Licence.

Your Time at Work

As a Security Officer you will be responsible for:

• Processing HGV vehicles through a gatehouse using weighbridges and IT systems to manage goods and distribution data.
• Monitoring CCTV systems and preventing unauthorised access to the site.

The candidate will join an eight-person team, working in pairs on 12-hour shifts.

Our perfect Security Officer will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to always provide a friendly and professional service.
