Job summary

Resicare Alliance LTD in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to help children with complex needs build resilience, relationships, and life skills. You’ll provide safe, child-centred care across daily routines, health appointments and education, acting as a key worker for allocated children.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with opportunities to lead shifts, mentor colleagues and progress toward a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards Level 3 Diploma within two years.
• Ability to build appropriate relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS check for working with children or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, child-centred care promoting safety, stability and wellbeing.
• Build positive relationships with children while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Support daily routines, education, activities, health appointments and life skills.
• Follow care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies.
• Act as a key worker for allocated children and care planning/outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, timely records and contribute to reviews.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, and lead shifts when required.
• Engage respectfully with families, social workers and other professionals.
