Job summary

Resicare Alliance LTD is seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker for a full-time role in the UK. You will provide high-quality, child-centred care, build trusting relationships, and support daily routines and education for children with complex needs.

You will work 40 hours per week with a pay rate of £13.50 per hour. The role offers opportunities for growth, including mentoring colleagues and leading shifts, plus progression towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.

Qualifications

• Genuine motivation to work with children and make a difference.
• Willingness to work towards the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within two years.
• Ability to build appropriate relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Willingness to work flexibly, including shifts, weekends and sleep-ins.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Enhanced DBS check for working with children (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality, child-centred care that promotes safety, stability and wellbeing.
• Building positive relationships with children while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Supporting children with daily routines, education, activities, health appointments and life skills.
• Following care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies.
• Acting as a key worker for allocated children and managing care planning.
• Maintaining accurate records and contributing to reviews.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and leading shifts when required.
• Engaging respectfully with families, social workers and other professionals.
