Job summary

Resicare Alliance Ltd, based in the United Kingdom, is hiring a Residential Support Worker for a full-time role working 40 hours per week at £13.50 per hour. The position offers meaningful care for children with complex needs and avenues for growth within the service.

You will provide high-quality, child-centred care, build positive relationships, support daily routines and education, follow care plans and risk assessments, and collaborate with families and professionals.

Qualifications

• Motivation to work with children and make a positive difference.
• Plan to work towards Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within two years.
• Ability to build appropriate relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Emotional resilience and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Flexible to shifts, weekends and sleep-ins.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.
• DBS check for working with children, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality, child-centred care that promotes safety, stability and wellbeing.
• Building positive, trusting relationships with children while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Supporting children with daily routines, education, activities, health appointments and life skills.
• Following care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies.
• Acting as a key worker for allocated children, taking responsibility for care planning and outcomes.
• Maintaining accurate, timely records and contributing to reviews.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, and leading shifts when required.
• Engaging respectfully with families, social workers and other professionals.
• Working towards Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (if not already achieved).
