Job summary

North Tyneside Council is seeking a Temporary Accommodation Co-Ordinator to join the Accommodation Team. You will deliver frontline housing management and support to homeless and vulnerable people and families, guiding them through the housing process until moving to permanent accommodation.

You will be the first point of contact for households in temporary accommodation, coordinating welfare, safeguarding, rent arrears and financial assessments, while working with partner agencies to meet

• Be the first point of contact with households in temporary accommodation.
• Manage welfare, safeguarding, income management, rent arrears and financial assessments.
• Liaise with external accommodation providers to meet service demands.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, use initiative, and be able to occasionally work evenings.
• Assist with the housing process until moving to permanent accommodation.
• Experience of homelessness or social housing is advantageous but training will be provided.
