Job summary

North Tyneside Council is recruiting for a front-line housing officer within the Temporary Accommodation Team. You will deliver housing management and support to homeless and vulnerable people and families, guiding them from first contact to moving on to permanent accommodation.

You will be the first point of contact for households in temporary accommodation, handling welfare, safeguarding, income management, rent arrears, financial assessments and property condition, in partnership with

Qualifications

• Experience in homelessness or social housing is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience delivering frontline housing support is preferred.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a fast-paced team.
