Job summary

Boots is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a customer-facing team on the shop floor, model excellent care and strong commercial performance, and own day-to-day operations for a trusted customer and patient experience.

You’ll coach, schedule and develop your team, ensure safety and compliance, and drive store standards. Career progression paths include Deputy General Manager or Store Manager, with broader roles in our network.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team to deliver strong performance while providing great care to customers and patients.
• Create a positive, supportive team environment where people feel confident, capable and motivated.
• Coach, develop and line manage your team through regular conversations, feedback and clear goals.
• Be responsible for day-to-day store running including planning, scheduling, staffing and workload priority.
• Maintain high store standards; keep it clean, safe and easy to shop.
• Take ownership of stock availability, cost control and loss prevention.
• Ensure the store is safe, legal and compliant via audits and checks.
• Use data and in-store insight to identify opportunities and act quickly.
• Lead the store confidently in the absence of the Store Leader and take accountability.
