Job summary

We Are With You in Shrewsbury is seeking a Recovery Worker to support clients with drug, alcohol and mental health challenges within Criminal Justice services. You will help design personalised recovery plans, handle referrals and assessments, and ensure continuity of care across the central and northern areas of the county.

The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with some Saturday work, based mainly in Shrewsbury. A driving licence and a proactive, compassionate approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in health, social care, criminal justice or a clear motivation for wanting to work in the drug and alcohol sector.
• A successful track record of providing efficient and reliable customer service is essential.
• Highly organized with excellent communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify client goals and create tailored treatment plans.
• Be the first point of contact for the service, including referrals, assessments and queries.
• Manage an active caseload and coordinate care with partners and stakeholders.
• Work across central and north areas of Shropshire, with base in Shrewsbury and possible outreach.
