Job summary

The Queensberry Hotel in Bath, home to The Olive Tree restaurant, is seeking a Front of House Duty Manager. You will lead the front office, porters and housekeeping liaison, acting as senior on-site during shifts to ensure seamless service across the hotel and restaurant.

This role requires confident leadership, high standards of English communication, and experience in a luxury setting. Open shifts include early, late, and weekends, with benefits such as meals on duty and staff uniforms.

Qualifications

• At least two years in a supervisory or duty management role in a luxury or boutique hotel.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Experience in a hotel with a fine-dining or Michelin-starred restaurant.
• Knowledge of Bath and its attractions to share with guests.
• Flexible to work early, late, weekend and bank holiday shifts.
• First aid, fire marshal or Personal Licence (APLH) certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead front office, porters and housekeeping liaison on shift.
• Act as duty manager for the whole building.
• Manage reservations and revenue via the property management system.
• Greet guests, check in VIPs and handle issues on shift.
• Coordinate guest experiences and restaurant collaboration.
