Job summary

MEININGER Hotels Edinburgh is seeking a Front Desk - Receptionist to warmly welcome guests, check them in and out, and ensure a smooth arrival experience.

You will be the first contact for guests, suppliers and technicians, answer inquiries, upsell services and handle admin tasks; you’ll also oversee the bar and support other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in hospitality.
• Outgoing and guest-focused.
• Fluent English (B2) required.
• Team player; flexible for shifts.
• Experience with front office systems (ASSD, Fidelio, SIHOT) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and host guests, manage check-in and check-out.
• Be the first point of contact for visitors, suppliers and technicians.
• Respond to guest inquiries and direct to sights and activities.
• Handle invoicing, emails and online requests; upsell where appropriate.
• Respond to online reviews and contribute to guest satisfaction.
• Oversee bar operations as needed and assist other departments when required.
