Job summary

Tesco is hiring Customer Delivery Drivers to meet customers in their homes. This role is more than driving; it’s about helping people and delivering great service with a smile. It is hands-on, physical and varied, with no two shifts the same. You’ll work mostly independently, with a supportive team back at base.

Pay starts at £14.18 per hour, rising to £15.45 in stores within the M25. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, and roles from 12 hours are also available.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including a minimum of 16 hours per week.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep van, trays and work area clean, tidy and organised so every customer receives their shopping in perfect condition.
• Load the van safely and complete checks to ensure it is roadworthy and ready to deliver great service.
• Explain order changes, substitutions, or short-dated items to customers in a friendly, reassuring way and process refunds when needed.
• Handle products with care, treating every order as if it were your own to maintain quality and customer trust.
• Deliver within the customer’s time slot with warm, natural service at the doorstep and leave customers feeling valued.
