Job summary

Freightserve recruitment, based near Heathrow, is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales across Air, Road and Oceanfreight products. You will meet clients, liaise with overseas offices, profile customers and convert prospects into contracts.

The role requires strong field sales experience in freight forwarding and the ability to pursue new business while growing existing accounts. Heavily target-driven with occasional trade exhibition involvement.

Qualifications

• Field sales experience in freight forwarding is essential.
• Ability to sell all products including Air, Road and Oceanfreight.
• Strong field sales experience and ability to hit targets.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients virtually or during sales visits.
• Liaise with overseas offices and build prospects.
• Profile customers and convert suspects to prospects.
• Demonstrate and present products to clients.
• Hunt for new business and grow existing accounts.
• Manage sales leads and maintain accurate records.
• Attend trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings.
• Review sales performance and negotiate contracts.
