Job summary

SumUp is seeking a Field Sales Executive to drive regional, face-to-face merchant acquisition as a self-employed partner. You will own the sales cycle from prospecting through installation, earning uncapped upfront commissions and recurring revenue with an OTE of £7,000-£10,000+ per month.

Successful partners generate 6-figure annual earnings through performance, with daily prospecting, consultative selling, and territory management as core duties.

Qualifications

• Proven Track Record in high-rejection, face-to-face or B2B sales environments.
• Hunter mindset; proactive lead generation and advanced objection-handling skills.
• Financial resilience to bridge an initial pipeline-building phase.
• Self-discipline: fully self-directed and does not require daily management.
• Commercial awareness: articulate the value of recurring revenue assets clearly.

Responsibilities

• Fearless Prospector: Prospect a minimum of 30 local SMEs each day via face-to-face visits and outbound outreach.
• Consultative Selling: Analyse each merchant’s payment setup, identify pain points, and present SumUp’s ecosystem.
• Pipeline & Territory Management: Own your territory, manage CRM, and progress merchants from initial conversation to hardware installation.
• Meaningful Conversations: Create at least three sales conversations daily, converting them into 3-5 new partnerships weekly.
• Relationship Building: Become the local payments expert recognised by SME owners.
