Job summary

EY seeks an experienced Forward Deployed AI Engineer to lead hands-on AI development with a leadership element. You will design AI agents, orchestration layers and cloud-native solutions, while mentoring others and ensuring governance and security across projects.

You will manage senior stakeholders, translate business needs into technical scope, and drive delivery across onshore and offshore resources within the Core Business Services.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Proven AI developer/engineer with a strong project portfolio.
• Proficient in Python and TypeScript with version control skills.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures and software design.
• Experience with Pandas, NumPy, SQL for data manipulation.
• Experience building AI solutions on Power Platform and cloud platforms.
• Experience with LLM agents, prompt design, grounding and retrieval.
• Experience integrating AI with enterprise systems via APIs.
• Ability to manage senior stakeholders and communicate complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI agents and automation tools with governance and QA.
• Lead cross‑functional AI projects and mentor junior team members.
• Set engineering standards and review code across the team.
• Translate business problems into deliverable technical scope and effort.
• Oversee end-to-end live release, security, licensing and environments.
