Job summary

EY is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to join the Core Business Services team across UK offices. This hands-on role combines technical leadership with project delivery, designing and building AI agents and automation tools while guiding junior engineers.

You will orchestrate low-code and pro-code approaches, design cloud-native AI solutions, govern risk, and engage senior stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical scope.

Qualifications

• We seek an experienced AI engineer with a strong portfolio of delivered projects.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript with Git and version control experience.
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures and software design.
• Experience building AI agents, LLM orchestration and cloud-native solutions.
• Experience integrating AI tools with enterprise systems and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI agents and automation tools to solve business problems.
• Lead cross-project AI solutions including orchestration layers.
• Balance low-code and pro-code approaches in delivery.
• Provide technical oversight and QA across projects and teams.
• Own governance, risk assessment, environments and licensing for AI solutions.
• Manage senior stakeholders and mentor junior team members.
